Saturday 6th July 2024 - Poetry in Song

 

As part of the 2024 Ledbury Poetry Festival, join us at St Michael's & All Angels Church at 7.30pm for a programme of lovely English music for a summers evening.

 

The programme features:-

A Hymn for St Cecilia and Like as the Hart by Herbert Howells.

​

The Bluebird, Farewell my joy and Songs of the Fleet by C.V. Stanford

​

Three Elizabethan Songs and Five Mystical Songs by Ralph Vaughan Williams

​

Dawn and a new piece by local composer Simon Peberdy words by Tim Keyes a member of the choir's bass section.

 

Following our successful Gloria concert in March, we look forward to welcoming back baritone soloist Rob Pritchard.

Tickets: £15, will be available to purchase in advance via the Ledbury Poetry box office in the Poetry House (the Barrett Browning, clock tower building) in the middle of Ledbury, and on the door.
